Between both cities Elda and Petrer there is only one street which separates them, giving them the right for each of them to have their own town hall. There used to be about 4 km between them but as their populations grew they also grew together. Petrer (Alicante) is an historical city in southeastern Spain. It is approximately 30 minutes away from Alicante Airport and 5 minutes from the nearest train station. It is in a very convenient location with easy motorway access (N-330) to the ports of Alicante and Valencia. There is a lovely chapel where weddings can be celebrated.
