Lorca is situated in the south west of Murcia and combines its historical roots with modernity. It is also an important commercial centre and therefore its infrastructure is well designed. Lorca is probably the most important tourist centre in the region. The surrounding area is covered with vineyards. Lorca has a wealth of historical buildings including churches, Roman villas, palaces, monuments and works of art. It has a friendly and welcoming ambience.
