Jimena de la Frontera is a village situated approximately 35 km inland from San Roque. It is surrounded by the Los Alcornocales Natural Park. The entrance to the town is an impressive three-arched gateway and officially known for its historical and artistic worth. The typical Andalucian architecture is now being carefully preserved.
