Jerez is a city which is renowned for its wine and horses. In 2002 the world Equestrian competition was held here. It is situated in the centre of the countryside. The airport is easily accessed from here either by rail or road. Civilizations such as Phoenicians, Romans and Arabians settled in this town. Jerez has the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and the permanent speedway track where international competitions are held.
