Gata de Gorgos is situated in the north of Costa Blanca very near to the N332 coastal road just inland of Denia and Javea. It is roughly 80km from Alicante and 45km from Benidorm. It has a population of approximately 5,500 people. The village is famous for the traditional craft work as it produces goods made from esparto grasses, wicker and palm. This is why it is known as the Bazaar of the Costa Blanca. There is a wealth of goods to choose from, baskets, furniture, hats all made from local materials
