Located between the mountain range of Crevillente and the fertile valley of the Safe one. To the north is the Gorge of Snows, to the east Elche, west is Albatera and south Catral, Dolores and Callosa de Segura. It shares the National Park with Elche. It has a population of approximately 27,000 residents of which there are a fair proportion of Moroccans.
