Balones on the Costa Blanca in Spain is a small farming village with roughly 200 residents. It is approximately 75km from Alicante. Its origins are Moorish. Evidence of this can be found in the castle and the mosque. The access to Balones by road is difficult and therefore does not get a lot of tourists. It is situated on the road from Gorga to Castell de Castells.
