Almunecar Area Description

Almunecar is known as one of the oldest municipalities in the region. It is surrounded by mountains and colourful fruit trees. Both the Romans and Arabs have left their mark on the cultures experienced here. It is roughly 70km from Granada and 75km from Malaga and is known as the capital of the Tropical Coast. Its mild climate is popular with tourists as are the antique and souvenir shops.
