Alcoy Area Description

Alcoy on the Costa Blanca in Spain is known for its bridges and for being an industrial pioneer in the Valencian community. During the late 18th century Alcoy was a pioneer in the industrial revolution. The rich bourgeoisie enriched the town with grandiose modernist buildings. The thriving industry helped with funds for building bridges between the different parts of the town that constantly were growing.
