Agost Area Description

Agost is approximately 18 km from Alicante and 60 km from Benidorm. There are roughly 4,500 residents. The white clay in the area has been the reason for its economic growth, it is its major source of income. It is used for the production of all types of ceramics, domestic utensils, bricks and jugs. There are nine brick factories in Agost. There is also a museum for ceramics. The climate in the area is perfect for wineproducing.
