Hello Justin

We have been given a completion date of 29 March - which is about 8 weeks delay from our original date - but hopefully the wheels will continue to grind - news from the building site which will be our home sounds good and progress seems to be going ahead apace - so we are optimistic - lots to do in the meantime - although it does feel a bit like being on the starting blocks!  We are continuing with our Spanish lessons but we seem to forget more than we learn - perhaps it will become more familiar and stick in our memories when we are surrounded by Spanish speaking people.  Looking forward to the move - but with a bit of fear and trepdation - and the state of the exchange rate makes it even scarier!  Speak soon

Just read your message - Mitch and I are also planning to retire to Spain next year - in Albamar - hopefully all will go accordingly to plan but - the best laid and all that.  We have bought  plot No 84- but have not been out since March this year - but it was beginning to take shape - first phase was almost finished - people were moving in the next week.  Our phase seems to be going well.

Mitch and I will be looking to do something to tide us over until our pension kicks in - we had hoped to find something for Mitch - I have a beauty therapy business which I'm hoping to run from home so as I can pamper all our girls and meet people socially - I really enjoy it and hopefully it will be a good way to meet friends. Mitch is not sure what he will do - but is open to suggestions or opportunities - he offered to be my model and parade around the pool with his nails painted and wearing a leapord skin thong - needless to say I declined.

We are bringing out a shipment when we come to Spain next spring - we have a new HD TV and would like to bring it - if it will work in Spain - Does anyone know for certain what is the position - Will a TV bought here operate well or not in Spain?  Grateful for any info which will make our minds up.

Just  read your note on retiring to Albamar.  My husband and I are planning to do the same thing - we were told originally that the completion would be February - however, it now looks like April will be our completion date.  We are going out there on 21 March to do a reconnaissance trip as we dont know the area well enough - we also need to view furniture and find out about electric items such as air conditioning units and general kitchen white goods etc.  We will also need to look at buying a car over there  - in other words we have a lot to find out - so we will be busy.  Will keep in touch via this Notice Board and hope other potential residents will contact us .
