Yes i was given one of these when i enquired about what guarantees do i have if the company goes bust. My agent then contacted San Jose and their reply was that if i wanted a guarantee we would need to go to the Notary, pay the fees there and then pay a monthly fee to the bank. They then produced this letter along with one from another bank saying the exact same thing.  I guess i thought this was some form of guarantee. At no time did my agent or solicitor advise me of bank guarantees.

When my agent asked for a bank guarantee back in October 2005, they were told we would have to go to the  Notary pay the fee then pay further fees to the bank monthly. They did offer us a letter which when translated stated that the company was in a stable financial situation to complete the build. So i guess that was their answer to a bank guarantee.

Hi to everyone, 

We are another couple who purchased in good faith from San Jose at Jumilla approx three years ago. We are devestated by the recent news. Yes we have also been fobbed off regarding bank guarantees. We would also be interested in a joint venture in trying to retrieve our money. I do believe the more people join together the more chance we have of being heard.

Please keep us informed on how the situation is developing.
