The aircon for the bedrooms had been installed already when we completed. The condenser is situated to blow the full length of the terrace as others have noted and we were going to get it turned around to face outwards. However, we have decided to live with it that way this year and may get a cover for it fitted by Polaris. It is quite an attractive wooden box and looks like a piece of furniture. This may contravene the manufacturer's advise but if Polaris are doing it then  maybe they no something different........
The reason we have decided to live with the unit facing in for a while is that if we turn it around it will take up a lot more room on the terrace and any furniture will have to sit in front of it.  Hopefully the aircon in the bedrooms will only be turned on just  before bedtime and therefore won't pose a problem while we sit outside.
